Who You Help
As a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of animals, the overall
mission of the Timmins & District Humane Society is to alleviate animal suffering & neglect, to support
human-animal connections, and to foster a compassionate community in which people respect all living creatures.
Our dedicated directors, staff, and volunteers provide safe refuge & compassionate care for all animals. By
reuniting lost animals with their families, providing emergency medical care & spay/neuter, adopting animals
into forever homes, and coordinating animal transfers, our humane society provides many special creatures a
second chance at life.

The lottery will take place online. A series of monthly draws (12 total) will take place between
March 28, 2022 and March 28, 2023. Ticket sale open and close dates for each month’s campaign are noted below:
April Draw: Monday, March 28 at 8:00 a.m.- Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
May Draw: Friday, April 29 at 8:00 a.m.– Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
June Draw: Friday, May 27 at 8:00 a.m.- Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
July Draw: Thursday, June 30 at 8:00 a.m. – Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
August Draw: Friday, July 29 at 8:00 a.m. – Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
September Draw: Friday, September 2 at 8:00 a.m. - Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

To be considered for the early bird prize, tickets must be purchased before 11:59 p.m. the night before
the early bird draw date. Early bird deadlines, draw dates/times, and prizes are as follows:

All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.
Must be in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.
The cost is 5 tickets for $10, 50 tickets for $20, and 250 tickets for $40.

After buying, patrons will receive a confirmation e-mailed with their 50/50 registered numbers from a
Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.
Tickets will be sold using electronic raffle system supplied by Ascend Fundraising Solutions.
The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle
numbers sold for the draw.
Tickets will be sold beginning at 8:00 a.m on March 28, 2022 and end March 27, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
All tickets purchased from 8:00 a.m. on the 1st day of the month’s campaign to 11:59 p.m. on the early
bird deadline date will be considered for both the early bird prize and grand prize draw for that month.
All tickets purchased at 12:00 a.m. on the early bird prize draw date to 11:59 p.m. on the final day of that
month’s raffle period will be considered for the grand prize draw only. For months that have no announced
early bird prize, tickets purchased from 8:00 a.m. on the 1st day of the month’s campaign to 11:59 p.m.on
the last day of that month’s raffle period will be considered in the grand prize draw.
The amount of the 50/50 can be monitored at
www.TimminsHumane5050.ca. The jackpot amount displayed at
www.TimminsHumane5050.ca is the full amount to be won by the grand prize winner. (50% of
total ticket sales.)
The winning number will be announced via our 50/50 website and Facebook page.
The winner may claim their prize by contacting the Timmins & District Humane Society at: (705) 264-1816

email@example.com. After ticket verification, the winner will be paid by
cheque for the amount posted at the event for which they bought their ticket. For out-of-town winners, if
unable to pick-up in person, arrangements will be made for the prize cheque to be mailed. All
payments will be made by cheque.
The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the
date of the draw their ticket was purchase for.
The winner must provide his/her name, address, and phone number with picture identification for our

cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for that draw. If

In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning stub will be kept in a locked safe and held for 6
months. After that time period has elapsed, the prize will be donated to a charity other than the Timmins
& District Humane Society with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws: Timmins & District Humane
Society Staff Members and Board of Directors, including spouses and children.
